Junior & Senior

Youth Groups

Youth gather for faith-filled fun, learning, and service to the community. The JUNIOR group meets from 6 pm - 7:30 pm and the SENIOR group from 7 pm - 9 pm on two Friday nights each month. The groups share snacks, games, music and prayers. Upper elementary to senior high school youth participate, and are always encouraged to bring friends. In addition to the twice-monthly meetings, the youth stage a Haunted House at Halloween, go Christmas Caroling, and participate in several fundraisers to raise money to go whitewater rafting or a similar adventure at the end of the year.

Community Service

Youth are also required to participate in an act of service to the community with the group to participate in an end of the year trip. This can include preparing and serving a meal at the community Outreach Dinner, helping out at a Children's vacation week activity at the church, or walking in the CROP Hunger Walk.

January 20 (rescheduled 1/13 meeting) - Life and Ministry of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

January 27 - Senior Group will have a speaker - Adults are welcome - The Bible and Nonviolent Resistance to Injustice, 7:30 - 9 pm.

February 5 - Souper Bowl of Caring Sunday

February 10 - Valentine Activities & Annual Meeting Prep

February 17 - First Church Night of Springfield Armor Basketball, MassMutual Center, 7 pm

February 24 - Movie Night?

March 9 - Habitat for Humanity - we'll meet and talk with a group of students from Boston who will stay at the church during Spring Break to work on a Habitat house in Springfield.
