Peace Sundays

 

First Church teaches that we are

disciples or apprentices

of the Prince of Peace.

Peace matters.

To make certain we are

encouraging one another to

"Choose peace and pursue it,"

we hold at least three

annual worship services

whose primary focus is peace.

 

These Sunday dates are:

The fourth Sunday of January

(peace with justice/The Rev. Dr. MLK Jr.)

The second Sunday of May

(the original Mother's Day Proclamation by Julia Ward Howe is read)

The third or fourth Sunday of September

(World Peace Day is Sept 19)
